UrBin Hybrid Rear Loader
AUSTRALIA’S FIRST HYBRID REAR LOADER
MacDonald Johnston has teamed up with Hino Australia to develop Australia’s first Hybrid Rear Loader. The revolutionary MacDonald Johnston UrBin Rear Loader body has been coupled with the new Hino Hybrid cab chassis. This ground- breaking machine has been specifically designed as a low-impact refuse collection vehicle for use in built-up urban areas – particularly parks and gardens where truck noise and emissions may be an issue. This is the ideal machine to satisfy the needs of inner-city councils and private contractors who are concerned with reducing their environmental footprint.
Fast Facts:
- The UrBin Hino Hybrid Rear Loader is developed around Hino’s 714 model 300 Series diesel-electric hybrid truck chassis
- Combined with a significant reduction in nitrous oxide (NOx) and carbon dioxide emissions, the MacDonald Johnston UrBin Hino Hybrid Rear Loader lessens overall operating costs, and ultimately the impact on the environment

- Hino’s pioneering hybrid technology has proven to be an effective and affordable solution to fuel economy and emission issues
- Available in 6m3 capacity suitable for use within parks and gardens
- All UrBin bodies are manufactured from single sheet Hardox Steel making them strong, light and hard wearing
- UrBin can be complimented with additional options which are engineered to suit a specific job or client
- Fully designed, tested and manufactured in Australia to meet Australian conditions, the UrBin Rear Loader is built to satisfy each of our client’s specific requirements.
